The guy who filed this complaint is no noob, he has more than 2 decades of experience in the industry, imagine being fired for doing your job. Hope he wins the case.

Just ran a full 2D → 3D conversion of a power drill… from a single image 🤯. Rarely I get so excited about a tech, but this truly feels once in a lifetime kinda tech. I will be converting random objects to PLY and OBJ files. #meta #Robotics

Waiting for SAM3 access, once i get I'll drop some cool demos

I am doing exactly this but in SF Bay Area, I also have welding capability.

What if we made a (hardware) prototyping firm...? We already have the machines, the talent, and have done $50k+ in contracts before. We're trying something new here. LMK if you’re interested, will reach out. Where we would shine: Flexible timelines, Cheaper than a full-time…

Here is the same video with labels this time.

I did a little test with RF-DETR-SEG model from roboflow, not bad for out of the box testing, will be doing some testing on custom datasets.

Introducing VLAb: a pretraining toolkit for Vision-Language-Action models for robotics! Super simple and hackable codebase to experiment with VLAs! Take any LeRobot/HF format dataset and pretrain or fine-tune VLA models efficiently across many GPUs. 🧵 Here’s what it includes:

Unpopular opinion: if you have pets, stop feeding them kibble, doesn’t matter which brand but almost all of them inflames your pups stomach, they are all equivalent of eating fast food everyday. Feed them raw diet or make them home made food.

If you are writing robotics software and want to write some quick UI input or buttons try textual, this lib is amazing. textual.textualize.io

Sometimes I just have to bang my head enough to get to this stage with Nvidia stuff. TLDR: Realsense+Issac Sim+nvblox

In other words: - Get advisors who would give you the network and push to get you from 0-1 - Find fractional execs who can deliver results Blanket advices like these are not valid for all startups, you know your business more than anyone so trust your gut.

If you’re a founder, avoid these like the plague, they almost never perform “Advisors” who want equity for advice Agencies that promise growth and bill 20K for no performances Fractional execs (CFO, CPO, CMO…) you need Doers PR firms charging fat retainers

May be there is a reason why these robots are cheap af

I can safely say two things about the robotics industry: We desperately need more whitr hat people doing security research on robotic platforms. Robotics vendors need to be responsive to security researchers. It is a matter of public safety. spectrum.ieee.org/unitree-robot-…

Security Flaw Turns Unitree Robots Into Botnets

Can your robot be hacked? A new vulnerability in Unitree robots could turn them into a botnet army. Are we taking robot security seriously enough?
