On paper it is gorgeous. Two toothbrushes in one cup. Tiny socks on the radiator. Someone whose face you know in the dark reaching for you at 3:12 and not leaving. A small person with your eyes and their laugh eating cereal too slowly before school. It sounds like the closest…

i genuinely do not understand how so many people are missing the inherent desire to find a spouse and have children. how is that not the most beautiful thing you could have? someone to love you forever and make mini-mes with? how have we strayed so far?

Practically speaking, a life that is vowed to simplicity, appropriate boldness, good humor, gratitude, unstinting work and play, and lots of walking brings us close to the actual existing world and its wholeness. - Gary Snyder

The most helpful thing for my sanity (aside from old-school psychodynamic psychotherapy) has been sitting down in a public place for a hot drink in a real ceramic cup without an electronic device for at least an hour, every other day

Mourning the fact that I missed these when they were released

You still are the child you once were. You didn't leave the child you once were by the wayside like an outdated automobile or grow out of yourself like a snake or a crab. What you loved, and how you loved is still there inside you and the more you connect the happier you will be.
