After 2 yrs on my shelf I finally read "Infographic Designers' Sketchbook". Although the layout is wonderfully done, I found the content to be a mixed bag; some #dataviz gems, but also quite dated infographics. Wish there was more explanation of thought processes of the sketches

Just finished "Programming skills for Data Science" by @mf_viz & Joel Ross. This book is an exceptionally well rounded & explained intro to the different programming skills you need for data science; git & GitHub, (lots of) R, dataviz, APIs, pinch of SQL & more. Really, 👏👏👏
