Parenting starts the job, but our education system finishes it. A system where you cannot as little as challenge the teachers/lecturers without retaliation, has bred a nation of people who cannot speak up against bad leadership and demand accountability and good governance.
I will die on the hill that our timidity, fear of authority and willingness to accept rubbish on a national scale stems from the parenting Nigerians receive and this is a prime example. A child has cravings, a perfect opportunity to teach self control, contentment and discipline
