Anyway, Lyme is obviously not new or a bioweapon, and ticks are not ecologically essential and getting rid of them and this disease is a policy choice. Sources: nature.com/articles/ncomm… tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.108… science.org/doi/10.1126/sc… academic.oup.com/jid/article-ab……
There really is no reason to believe Lyme is some new bioweapon, that it's made in the lab, any of that. People cope about this though. They say it's gotten worse recently (no reasons to believe this). They say some ancient sample isn't clearly identified enough (a lie). Etc.
The bacterial nature of Lyme disease was suggested very shortly after penicillin became popularized, because people tried treating the early symptoms with it, and they frequently did so successfully. This was done as early as the 1940s!

The erythema migrans "bullseye" was first described by Swedish dermatologist Arvid Afzelius in 1909, and he even speculated (correctly!) that it came from tick bites.

Clinical descriptions of late manifestations of Lyme disease are also quite old, they've just only been more recently understood to be driven by Lyme. For example, the European Lyme-caused acrodermatitis chronica atrophicans condition was characterized in 1883.

Genetic data also suggest Lyme disease is very ancient, at least. Ancient estimates are not very robust, so it could range between "ancient" and "extremely ancient" within reason, but there's no way to support "recent" without massive errors in many different areas.

Though Lyme disease was first identified in 1976 and it grew because of suburbanization, decline of wolves, etc... We have specimens from the 1940s (left) and the 19th century (right) that long predate its characterization.

There are morphologically Borrelia-like bacteria that have been found inside Dominican amber ticks, dated to 15-20 million years ago, as well. This is probably an ancient relative of the Lyme group.

There's a conspiracy theory that Lyme disease was invented in a lab. The earliest known human Lyme disease case is Ötzi the Iceman, who died some 5,300 years ago, long before the first government lab was established in the U.S. in 1887.

He used the IRS via AG Holder to target political opposition groups in the U.S. 2010-2012. He used contractors hired by the FBI to conduct political spying operations on his opposition in the 2012 and 2016 elections. He conducted covert operations to overthrow the leaders in…

Democrats have been urging people for 30 years to eat less dairy and meat. Trump helps the Dems achieve their goals ... and Democrats are PISSED.

People at New Mexico’s Roadrunner Food Bank, which lost about 850,000 pounds of food when the Trump administration cut aid, are receiving less dairy, meat and other high-protein items. projects.propublica.org/trump-food-cut…
had to look this one up ...and it turns out to be special handouts for Dem-aligned groups ("first generation", "low income", "disability"), with zero targeting to real / actually useful degree programs (so you know 90% of it is grievance studies and not-even-real-humanities)
Today I met with students at UNH from the TRIO McNair program. The Trump administration canceled funding for this program, so it ran out of funding at the end of September. Our efforts to get Sec. McMahon to deliver these promised funds to our students have been unsuccessful,…
