Throwing this out there just in case this might be useful to some CloudFlare users who might not have been aware of this deprecation.

Cool little JS trick.

In my years of JS, I never knew you could label loops and then use it to break out!

Admin Magazine (a magazine for Linux / Windows Admin Professionals) just published an article on WPCloudDeploy. It's behind a paywall though (their business is selling magazines afterall). If you've got a subscription, check it out (issue 80): admin-magazine.com/Archive/2024/8…

So we had a little typo in our documentation where we inadvertently added an annotation to a MARIADB reference as a "web server' instead of a "database server". It's been there for years. No one ever pointed it out. I wonder if any customers noticed or maybe folks were too…

I had the privilege and honor of using the C language when I was young and carefree ✨. I remember that one of the functions used most was `sprintf()`. I still find myself using that fascinating function today when I need to format strings in PHP: drops-of-php.hi-folks.dev/05-string/04-s…

It's so hard to take OpenLiteSpeed seriously when, four months after the release of PHP 8.3, it's not supported in their installer.

With PHP 8.1 in maintenance mode (security fixes only) , should we default new WP installs in WPCD to PHP 8.2 or 8.3? Or stick with 8.1?

One of my favourite security tricks is to install Canary Tokens (by @ThinkstCanary) in all of my apps. (I also put them in my live code talks too!) They'll tell you if anyone is snooping around your code who shouldn't be! 🕵️ securinglaravel.com/p/security-tip…

This is impressive - the sheer scale of what Stripe is doing here boggles my mind...

Who is still using the @2Checkout extension for @eddwp? If you are, be aware that it will stop working in May 2024 unless you change its encryption algorithm. EDD no longer supports the plugin, so they won't be implementing the change. Here's the "guide": verifone.cloud/docs/2checkout…

Are there any Elementor experts in my network here? Have a weird issue where the data in the POSTS table is not what's being rendered to the browser. All caching at every level is turned off (browser, page, object, cdn - all off). No matter what I do, the data being rendered…

This has nothing to do with WPCloudDeploy - it's just interesting given the prevalence of Crypto and the role Bitcoin played as the original and granddaddy of 'em all.

So, earlier this week RESEND, an api-first transactional email provider, had a major outage that lasted for 12 hours. Thousands of transactional emails weren't delivered. This isn't a post to kick them while they're down - it could happen to any SaaS service provider and we…

If you use AUTHY desktop, are you contacting them to try to get them to continue to support it? If so, what channel are you using to reach out to them?

WPCLI will give you the list of custom post types along with a count of entries for each CPT. And it will give you a list of tables but without a row count for each table. Is this an oversight or am I missing something? #wordpress.
