Love this. I think everyone has a group of COVID era films they feel very strongly about that didn't quite the attention they deserved. For me, both The Climb and Sound of Metal will always be all timers that few actually saw in theaters.

I don't know if people know this about but I love and adore musicals. Songs from movie and Broadway musicals make me so happy. I get the same intense feeling from them as I do ultra-violent John Woo shootouts. There's an emotional lyricism to both that's intoxicating.
I don't know if everyone else is sleeping on it, but Christopher Priest's The World to Come is great and I cannot recommend it enough. A dense what if epic that runs across decades of Black Panther history. Very cinematic stuff, I wish it was a movie already.
