Brother fuck you @Google how can I use the Authenticator app if I’m logging into the Authenticator app I use a code to prove it’s me which makes me make a new password and then it asks me to use an authentication app HOW? IF IM TRYING TO LOG INTO THAT???

We have also found a way to support **2FA authentication** using the usual phone apps (RFC 6238). If that's enabled, you will not be able to spend using your #COLDCARD unless you also have your phone and provide the correct #GoogleAuthenticator 6-digit numeric code. 2/3

Now that app-based authentication is far more common, let's talk about a major sin Google is doing: They ONLY recommend using Google authenticator. Google authenticator is one of the worst apps to use: you lose your phone, and you've lost your auth codes. Use eg Authy instead.

Yes! #GoogleAuthenticator #sync is not secure enough! You must use and try out an #Authenticator app like @ZohoOneAuth by @Zoho which uses a Passphrase set by you, known only to you, to encrypt all your OTP secrets following Zero-knowledge Architecture. zurl.to/twOA
