Astounded to learn @Europarl_EN #MEPElections use #ClosedListProportionalRepresentation as opposed to #SingleTransferableVotes! This means that @theSNP @LibDems @TheIndGroup @TheGreenParty etc who are all #REMAINParties may end up splitting the #RemainVote and getting #NoSeats!
It's a complete lottery which is why we desperately need electoral reform. #SingleTransferableVotes would remove the need without upheaval. We would never risk wasting a vote by voting with our conscience.
Let's all do that then. We can spend the intervening time working out who we can trust. #SingleTransferableVotes would automate the process and prevent cheating, so obviously Tories won't let us have have that.
If people vote tactically at the next General Election, Boris Johnson will be unseated as Prime Minister and Tory rule will come to an end. Really is as simple as that.

Today the Prime Minister rejected our calls for electoral reform, despite a majority of people supporting it and MPs voting for our bill yesterday. We need to restore trust in politics and make every vote count. Parliament should at least have the chance to consider our bill.

If you voted & your vote wasn't counted, would that be fair? No? Yet the majority of votes in elections for House of Commons MPs don't count! Every other election in the UK uses a form of PR (even in the HoC in voting for Select Committees). But HoC votes are FPTP - & MOST=0!

And #RankedChoiceVoting can be used in voting systems like #MixedMember or #SingleTransferableVotes which give us the more important proportionality we need.
