Comparison for gaseous exchange lesson. #variationtheory Why doesn't gaseous exchange occur mostly on the inside of our cheeks? Why go all the way into the chest cavity? Like alveoli, it is moist, & air passes over the inner surface all the time. Plus great blood supply.
