i juuust got my 11 bounty on @intigriti , currently ranked #830 it's getting a bit harder towards the #50 but worth it. #bugbounty #intigriti #brokenaccess #hackwithintigriti
The term "broken access vulnerability" generally refers to a flaw in a system's access controls that allows unauthorized users to gain access to sensitive information or perform actions they shouldn't be able to. #Vulnerability #vulnerabilities #brokenaccess #bugbountytips
6/6 If you’ve ever shouted “THAT’S NOT WHAT I SAID” at your phone—this is for you. Dictation should support us, not sabotage us. We don’t need smart tools that jump the gun. We need ones that listen. That wait. That get it right. #AccessibilityMatters #BrokenAccess
Day 287: I've earned the OWASP Top 10 Badge on @RealTryHackMe for completing every OWASP vulnerability. Thank you @bettercallmanav Bhatia for your guidance and support. You can check it out tryhackme.com/vistadead76/ba… #tryhackme #brokenaccess #injection #insecuredesign
Couldn’t agree more. Paying to publish is just as bad (if not worse) as paying to read. Open access journals with article processing fees are not truly open. #brokenaccess onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…
This here is how you revolutionize academic publishing. Not by moving gate keeping from reviewer to editor, but by refusing to work for free for one of the highest profit industries in the world. #brokenaccess
An entirely predictable outcome of making publishing profitable (a.k.a. paying to publish). #brokenaccess nature.com/articles/d4158…
You don't revolutionize academic publishing by moving gatekeepers from reviewer to editor, you do it by refusing to pay to publish. I hope more of this happens! #BrokenAccess theguardian.com/science/2023/m…

Not one word about the fact that the pay-to-publish system is inherently broken and unfair. What planet do these people live on? #brokenaccess the-scientist.com/news-opinion/o…
I'm still as angry as an Anemonefish about the lack of discussion of the barriers imposed to many by the pay-to-publish model that is taking over scientific publishing. #BrokenAccess
How is it possible for people not to see that paying to publish decreases diversity in science? And moving to a model of pre-paying $2k to publish a paper (even if it's rejected) will increase journal profits and make it even harder for the global south to follow? #brokenaccess
Today is rant day! The topic? Academic publishing and peer review. I know many of my followers are not scientists, so I will start from the beginning, and to keep your full attention I will add a nice fish photo to every post (points for you if you can ID it)! #brokenaccess
How can academic publishers make even more money? By publishing every paper you submit! 😫 #brokenaccess
Today, we’re introducing a new model that eliminates accept/reject decisions. By publishing every paper with eLife reviews as a Reviewed Preprint, we plan to restore autonomy to authors, ensuring that they will be judged by what, not where, they publish. elifesciences.org/inside-elife/5…
For “only” £850 you can publish that paper you don’t know where to place at Biology Letters! Or if you are from the global south you can use that to pay a student for a year! #OpenAccess = #BrokenAccess
Have you written a paper, but aren't sure where to send it? #BiologyLetters receipt to first decision time is 23 days and we have a lower OA APC of £850 for all new submissions until the end of June. Still need convincing? See our other benefits here: ow.ly/1Snz50Gt0yS
It's getting ridiculous. The University of Portsmouth requires that faculty publish in open access journals, but has no money to cover the publication fees. Faculty must include them in grant proposals. Problem is, not all funding orgs will cover the fees. #BrokenAccess indeed.
Yes, it is behind a paywall because we couldn't afford to pay the #brokenaccess fees. DM me if you want a PDF!
Pro-tip: don’t fall into the trap of thinking that open access makes science more accessible. The only thing open access does is move the paywall from the reader to the author, making science publishing even less diverse than it already is. #BrokenAccess
Should I pay $4,290 + tax to publish an open access review article or use the funds to support a summer scholar?

I'm providing free labor to one of the industries with the highest profit margin in the world for the 5th time this week. In other words, I'm reviewing my 5th manuscript this week. Why do we do this again? #AcademicLife #ThursdayThoughts #BrokenAccess

This is why rights-restrictions matter. html, pdf & epub work fine on mobile browsers. #SciShare #BrokenAccess
