We released @PicoGK v1.6 last week, which builds upon the support for Vector and Scalar Fields, introduced in v1.5. Fully automated exchange of field data, using the #OpenVDB file format, can revolutionize how computational models feed into #NumericalSimulation.

We released PicoGK v1.5 with a focus on interacting with external simulation packages. PicoGK now has data types for vector and scalar fields and introduces a standard way of exchanging information through the #OpenVDB file format. Check it out here: github.com/leap71/PicoGK/…


Thanks! Just some good old SDFs! Lmk if you have a Mac, I can try to dig up a build. It’s old and the UI sucks, but still fun. I was using #OpenVDB to extract a mesh from the SDFs. But there are better ways to do that now (I believe)!

Found and fixed an issue with VDB motion blur and shadows. Now getting very nice results in all cases. Renders look so much better now with fast moving smoke. Here the Cannon preset exported from #Embergen. #UnrealEngine5 #UnrealVDB #OpenVDB #NanoVDB
