And once again, my collection of DEC documentation is growing: now, a (probably) almost complete set of #OpenVMS 6 (for #VAX; OpenVMS for #AXP 1.5) documentation. The Programming series is complete, with a few books missing from the System Management and User series.
New VAX/VMS documentation in my collection: A few VAX/VMS 4.0 booklets and training materials from the early 1980s (in German) still in blue #OpenVMS

An ugly solution, but it works. I put the system disk from the VAX 4000/300 into the VAX 4000/200 and now have a working VAX with #OpenVMS. While doing so, I also discovered that a different cable on the DSSI bus is broken than I had previously thought.
Damaging the OS installation with a patch. The #OpenVMS 7.3-2 installation on my #AlphaServer DS10 is gone (STARTUP is set to SYS$SYSTEM:STARTUP . COM correctly). I thought that was a just Microsoft problem ;)

The #OpenVMS 6 documentation is now placed on the shelf, next to the documentation for VAX/VMS 3, VMS 5, OpenVMS 7, and #ULTRIX 32. Still missing are VAX/VMS 1 and 2 (unlikely to ever find them) and VAX/VMS 4 (apart from the three folders I have). Of course, RT-11, RSX-11, and…
It works now, there was a network misconfiguration in #OpenVMS

Two systems, one challenge, Fabick Cat needed seamless data integration without performance hits. CONNX made it happen! Now, data updates quickly, keeping operations smooth and insights fresh. See how they did it: softwareag.com/en_corporate/c… #CONNX #OpenVMS #SoftwareAG
I usually use #OpenVMS. There is an OpenVMS installation on it, as well. But I was asked if I could make the system available for #Debian development, so it is available for that purpose from time to time.

Pretty nice to see a good bundle of products what product to use first @VMSSoftware #openvms #dec #mootsoftware
King of cool to see OpenVMS opened up to the community. Late to this discovery but some great work by the community and this team to get it available on x86 processors #vintage #openVms #mootsoftware

I was able to convert an HP NC7771 into a DEGXA Gigabit Ethernet controller for my #AlphaServer and it has been detected by the SRM and #OpenVMS

I want to test the integration of #Windows with #OpenVMS (for #VAX) via #Pathworks soon. I've got a #Compaq #ProLiant DL360 (G1) for a Windows NT 4.0 server installation and use it as a PDC.
Hein #Christian ? (Il se reconnaîtra sûrement !) 🤣

The two hard drives have not been together in the shadow set for over 20 years, so a small difference has built up. #OpenVMS would not even mount the shadow set any more.
I still have a working replacement hard drive (also #RF74), but unfortunately it is the other volume set hard drive of the other volume set (DIA10 and DIA11) from the machine. Therefore, the Oracle installation would be lost if the one hard drive no longer worked.
It works now, there was a network misconfiguration in #OpenVMS
I got some documention of #Pathworks for #OpenVMS 4.0, so I want to look into that older version of Pathworks before I upgrade to version 6. I have the tapes for it as well, and it's still installed on my #VAX.
