Did you have a terrific birding trip to Iceland in May, but then lose your SD card with your 3,700 bird photos in Norfolk? I have it!

Can anyone give me a sensible answer as to why ARRS funding allocated to practices to address the “GP shortage”allows them to ONLY employ people …..who are NOT a GP?! Make it make sense.

Super happy to highlight this study on behalf of Lisa Cosgrove who is unfortunately not on social media. This is important -and disturbing- for the field of psychiatry. "Undisclosed financial conflicts of interest in DSM-5-TR: cross sectional analysis"🧶 bmj.com/content/384/bm…

The government are lining up US spy tech company Palantir for a £480m contract to manage our NHS health data. This is being done without transparency and without our consent. We say loud and clear: @PalantirTech, hands off our health data! @SteveBarclay

Hey folks, can you help please? I’m asking for recommended reading for parents of “new” adult (~30) autist. Introductory stuff on how best to understand and support. #AskingAutistics

Anyone in London interested in having me speak at their university or institution on July 6th or 7th, please? I am trying to combine several events so I don't have to travel back and forth.

Today a doctor on the picket line said to me: “MPs have had a 42.7% increase since 2008, Junior Doctors have had a 25% decrease since 2010. So let’s not have MPs saying that pay restoration for doctors is unaffordable. We have families to feed as well.” A fair point indeed.

I ASK EVERYONE WHO SEES THIS TWEET TO PLEASE RT IT. Tomorrow nurses strike. They will be put through hell by the media, politicians and the establishment. Ahead of the action please share this tweet if you back the nurses and find it sickening that they are being vilified.

The NHS crisis is part of a Tory plan. First they underfund it. Then they create staff shortages through lower pay. As the crisis deepens they claim there's no choice but to bring in the private sector. And then they hand them more of our NHS. We must fight this all the way!

Could we rename ‘lived experience’ as ‘experiential expertise’?

We’re still in a pandemic because it’s still unpredictable. ‘Endemic’ means predictable rates and disease spread. Whether high or low endemicity, we’re still not there for covid. And yes pandemics can last for years. Rather than continued denial we need structural mitigation.
