Our November issue is live! nature.com/nchembio/volum… The cover depicts a SEM image of a dorsal surface of liverwort M. polymorpha female thallus. Liverwort were found to have a noncanonical pathway for the regulation of master growth repressor DELLA.
IISc researchers, in collaboration with the University of Freiburg, found that a tiny molecule, 4/6-InsP7, helps switch on plant “heat-protection” genes. This mechanism, conserved across land plants, could lead to more resilient crops. @TheLahaLab Read: kernel.iisc.ac.in/how-plants-fig…
