Bitcoin isn’t about making money. It’s about not being trapped.

@levelsio's experience shows you can't be cavalier about keeping your movements private. I guess he hasn't internalized this habit, since he only became famous in the last few years. I actually ran into Pieter on the street in Lisbon last year, and he seemed surprised at being…

The only thing more volatile than Bitcoin is Portugal GV & nationality laws.
The 🇪🇺EU has a Tax Haven Blacklist. I have a Tax Hell Blacklist: 🇪🇸Spain Tax agents who work on commissions and are among the most aggressive in the world. 🇫🇷France Inflexible system with extreme rates and a very high risk of audits. 🇧🇷Brazil Frequent, sudden changes to 90+…

Perfect graphic for this.
There's a world of difference between "you can APPLY FOR after X years [under current law]" and "you GET" after X years. I recommend you deeply learn that difference before being led down a bad path by a click-baiting marketer, and spending tens of thousands of dollars and years…
I have zero beef with nations of tiny landmass and would happily become a citizen of the majority of them if given the opportunity. Restrict dual citizenship however & my interest evaporates.
A country that prohibits dual citizenship or occupies only a tiny landmass cannot produce a citizenship that is ranked at or near the top of "citizenship strength" for the aspiring sovereign individual, when accounting for time. Two automatic disqualifiers. No exceptions.
If you have $0, you get welfare. If you have $50 million, you get a bailout. If you have $2,300 in savings, you qualify to fund the whole system and get lectured to budget better.

Portugal RBI sellers who dishonestly wrote on their websites and social media and said on videos a million times "citizenship after 5 years" are really melting down. [This post does not apply to the honest ones, of which there are many.] I can only imagine the stress they're…
The bitcoin may not be seizable, but the person with the keys is seizable. He has to exist on earth, probably in some jurisdiction. The physical location of key holders is the next frontier of bitcoin OPSEC. And freedom of movement is the answer.
It looks like Roger Ver avoided jail, but his case still has disturbing implications. Bitcoin is supposed to be freedom money. Unconfiscatable. Money you can safely carry across borders. But if the U.S. can see your on-chain activity and extradite you to collect its "fair…
