Really tempted to do a video on my recently explorations with web app performance and some of the cool things I’ve learnt and done to take a pretty heavy web app from 70 requests per second to around 800 without spending any money on extra hardware.

Backend Dev: We’ve refactored the code, introduced templating and caching and now have an average response time of 30ms Manager: Ok Frontend Dev: npm install tailwindcss  Manager: oh my god, that’s the best thing I’ve ever seen!

Backend dev work can be a thankless task sometimes. You can spend a few days on something just for the output to be identical. But under the hood it’s gone from 120ms to 20ms, it’s been refactored, the code is cleaner and more updatable it’s now more scalable etc.

I made a lab around @samwcyo and @infosec_au blog post about hacking subaru, it's a great lesson about going the extra mile in recon app.hackinghub.io/hubs/cypherdri… , had to work some extra magic to get all DNS working :)

Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * Is safe as long as you’re not authenticating with cookies, change my mind.

Got something inspired by the great @samwcyo coming out very soon…

Went to my sons open evening at college a couple of days ago, we visited the computer science lab and they had “Bjqhtrj yt Jcjyjw htqqjlj” written small on the whiteboard with no explanation. They were visibly annoyed that I go it in about 30 seconds 🤣

Do I work in cyber security or do I work in web development??? Some weeks I can never tell 🤣

2025 and an online medical form I'm filling in for my 7 year old son has mandatory fields such as how much tobacco products they smoke per week and whether they could be pregnant. A dev somewhere needs a slap.

I wrote quite a detailed post on how (and why) I have created my first SaaS product: ceos3c.com/content-creati… It was quite the journey but I am happy I got the app live! It was a great learning experience and opened the door for many more products to come. Discount Code inside!

I do miss the summer sun but getting to put the fire on and have a movie night with the kids is amazing!

Smashed out so much code this week, it’s been a very productive few days! Should have some cool announcements over the next few weeks for the HackingHub platform.
