Met some incredibly smart, talented and passionate people at #eaglelabs hackathon tonight! Super excited for a full day of hacking tomorrow 😍 #hacklaw #lawtech
Day 41 of #100DaysOfCode completed some CSS and FlexBox and FlexBox Froggy 😊 my new favourite game lol. Really enjoying going over this stuff again. I think I may specialise in front end I’m liking it so much #CodeNewbie
Day 40 of #100DaysOfCode did some@work on HTML and basic CSS. Played a very good game about CSS selectors which I had fun with. Really enjoying @AndreiNeagoie 2020 WebDev course. Advanced CSS tomorrow. Just a refresher but it’s nice to go over things again #CodeNewbie #ztm
How long does it take to learn to code? It took me 17 years to go from “Hello World” to “I really get this now”
Day 39 of #100DaysOfCode finished decorators today. Didn’t really feel like doing more so went over some HTML as it’s been a while since I’ve done it so I thought a refresher would be a good way of spending my time. Always important to go over knowledge to cement it #CodeNewbie
Day 35-38 of #100DaysOfCode been quite ill (chest infection) so I haven’t posted my progress the past few days. I’ve studied higher order functions (map, filter, zip and reduce) and decorator functions. Feeling a little better now just need to get rid of this cough #CodeNewbie
Day 34 of #100DaysOfCode did some work on the four pillars of OOP and pure programming before work in my car. Going to go over it again as I can tell it’s important and I didn’t retain it as much as I’d like to have done. Still ill so trying to learn is difficult #CodeNewbie
#100DaysOfCode #CodeNewbie What was/is the coding tool that you feel most helped you to learn and understand new concepts?
Day 33 of #100DaysOfCode did nothing tonight, needed rest, think I might have to take a day off at some point. Managed to do some work on Encapsulation, Abstraction, Private and Public variables and some bits on Inheritance. So not wholly unproductive but not great #CodeNewbie
#100DaysOfCode #CodeNewbie Really could do without being in work today. Feeling worse than I did last night. Unfortunately the company that I work for doesn’t pay sick pay in the 1 year of working there and I can’t afford to be off. I want my bed!!!
Day 32 of #100DaysOfCode started feeling sick today so my head wasn’t really in the game. Covered some OOP and Class Orientated Design. Might go over it again tomorrow to cement it in my mind. Hopefully I feel better tomorrow #CodeNewbie #learntocode
Junior/Graduate positions that want 1-2 years experience and require you to know a massive stack are ridiculous: 1-2 years experience Experience using React, Angular and Vue HTML, CSS & JavaScript PHP, C# and Laravel essential Who has time to learn this stack! #100DaysOfCode
Well. Just finished the Magician series of Raymond E Fiest. That’s 30 books. It’s only taken we about 3 months. I hate being able to read quickly sometimes. If you like Fantasy books then give these a try 10/10. Great way to relax #CodeNewbie #100DaysOfCode #FantasyBooks
Can anyone recommend any good books on Python for some@Christmas reading? #100DaysOfCode #CodeNewbie #Coding
Ewwwwww 2 trips into the loft today 😑 I hate the loft
Christmas outing this weekend with the wife and friends 😊 mulled wine and mince pies get me right in the Christmas spirit. Also put the decoration up (I know it’s a bit late but I’ve been busy ok 😛) roll on the 25th!
Day 31 of #100DaysOfCode officially 1 month of coding completed. Odd to think a month ago I didn’t know any of this. Set up my developer environment today and started on learning some OOP but though I’d leave most of it for tomorrow. What a journey! #CodeNewbie #Developer
Day 30 of #100DaysOfCode learnt about scope (global, parent and local) today and did the w3schools Python tests (24/25 and 53/55) so I’m happy that it’s going in and staying there. Here a video of my cat trying to drink from the tap while it’s off.....just because 😊
Day 29 of #100DaysOfCode did no coding today. Feels good to have a break. Spent the time setting up my new laptop which I’m excited to try out coding with tomorrow. It’s always good to take a break and reset.
