This is like the time I made it through 4 of 6 interviews for a job and then they ghosted me for six months, only to tell me after that time that they decided not to fill the position. And I did 10-15 hours of "homework" for that interview along the way. Never again.
Tore is an EXCELLENT historian. Book looks great.

1990s: no two states with McDonalds have ever fought a war 2020s: two rival McDonalds wage intra-corporate proxy war
McDonalds Israel donated to the IDF, and in return, McDonalds Oman donated to Gaza. Corporations are fighting proxy wars with themselves. I love living in the future so much
It was a great day!
Enjoying my four year cancer free gift from Kathleen thanks to @joeovies @giglio_OG and @UNCFootball . Also had to wear the @HomefieldApparl t-shirt. Go Heels!
I have to say, the analysis in _What’s the Matter with Kansas_ still roughly holds up.
The stupidity of conservative media is truly something to behold.
On the occasion of today’s blockbuster jobs report, it’s good to look back on this prediction from almost exactly a year ago.

This is one of the ickiest photos I have ever seen in my life.

Anyone who watches Grave of the Fireflies (火垂るの墓) and doesn’t cry has no feelings at all. I’m convinced of it.
Be honest, has a cartoon or animated movie ever made you cry?

One of the interesting things about the Fetterman dress scandal is that the suit itself was once the gym shorts and hoodie of its day. This part got cut from my Politico op-ed (for good reason; it was getting long and tangential). But when Keir Hardie—a Scottish union leader…
This is absolutely ridiculous.
MATT GAETZ pins shutdown on McCarthy: “We will have a government shutdown and it is absolutely Speaker McCarthy's fault. We cannot blame Joe Biden for not having moved our individual spending bills. We cannot blame House Democrats. We can't even blame Chuck Schumer in the Senate”
People are really telling on themselves re: Hunter Biden. This whole excerpt says that Joe showed up to one dinner and the folks paying Hunter kept getting unhappy Joe wasn’t doing anything for them. So the “scandal” is that some idiots gave Hunter money and got nothing for it?🤦🏻♂️
