Citizens should not have to treat law enforcement like they are dangerous in order to not get shot. "What do you expect him to do?!" What do I expect the trained professional with the weapon and power to do? Be in control, and not resort to violence as an easy answer

The test of your beliefs is guaranteeing that ppl-you-disagree-with have the same rights and protections you do. Approving deadly government overreach because "your guy" is in power is dangerous to you as well as others. (I won't even try to make you apply the Golden Rule.)
