What's so unforgivable is there's now no mystery as to how to get COVID under control. In CT, we kept everything closed until transmissions fell; we created an apolitical mask wearing culture; we tested aggressively. 2 months ago a hotspot. Today less than 100 hospitalized.

The 2020 senior class of Fredricksburg High spent 4 years doing fundraisers to get money for their senior trip to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The coronavirus nixed that, so they donated the money they had already raised, almost $11,000, to the local food bank. Way to go, seniors!
Here's the sad reality: what happened to George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery & Christian Cooper has gone on for generations to Black Americans. Cell phones just made it more visible. Dismantling systemic racism in our nation starts with demanding justice & holding offenders accountable.

Just traveled from San Antonio to DC and back. There were many people — TSA folks, airline employees, passengers — not wearing any kind of mask. I’m concerned that it’s becoming a political statement for some (some ppl just don’t have one available) not to wear a mask.

I received this letter from a farmer in northeast Kansas. His wife is ill and he is aging. He sent me 1 of 5 N95 masks he has from farming to pass on to a doctor or nurse in New York. This is humanity at its best. I share his letter as inspiration.
