I found the source of a 150 kHz spur. Eliminated it with a register setting. A 50dB improvement in SFDR! RFgeek happy 🙂
I like the green CRT look. My photo diode TIA response with an elliptic filter looks good. This HP 3577A network analyzer is 40 years old and is still great 🙂 This machine has ports with 50 ohms or 1 Mohm impedance - selectable. Great for analog designs.
Today, I used Copilot to make a PRBS function in Python. Up to 7th order, looks fine. 8th order, no workie! FFT was not flat. Will explore tomorrow what happened. AI is interesting!
I like it when you add one more filtering capacitor and see a substantial reduction in noise. Neary done-done!
I got my cooling only TEC loop stabilized today. No H-Bridge needed! Laser makes heat, TEC just removes it. A fun controls project! TECs are amazing gizmos
