Any actual materialist has no problem seeing this. Stepping over the 'idea' or 'theory', we find everywhere and always the experience of communism is degrowth, the shuffling of resources directly to high waste consumers, and at all times presses down on History in an attempt to…

US imperialism is of, by and for banksters. It is detrimental to the American people.

Had not heard about the Bolsheviks putting God on trial before!

I'll tell you what' I will go dig it up out of my book shelf if you can satisfactorily reconcile Christianity with "Communism" w/o resorting to retroactive dialectical constructions of history. You may do this by successfully resolving the following contentions. 1. Why did the…

“Had FDR not betrayed the people of the United States in 1940/1941 and gone back on his public declaration of non-interventionism then there would have neither been a Pearl Harbor nor a German declaration of war on the US in 1941.” –@KarlRadl

No John; that's a hand-waving excuse. What I have told you is what the documentary record states; you trying to philosophize it away is ridiculous. You have to provide facts and evidence; Hitler had choices yes and he largely made good ones in response to the situation with which…

I have to admit that, despite everything I know about boomers and their endless cruises, it hadn't occurred to me that they would view their own grandchildren as competitors for scarce resources.

Boomers have this mentality of “grandkids means less resources for us” (the ones they haven’t hoarded that is). A large chunk of that generation despise kids (even their own)

World's most sadistic army.

Overnight, Israeli troops carried out a large-scale campaign of setting fire to huge amount of civilian homes and infrastructure before families returned to it in northern Gaza. It appears to have been the most extensive mass arson operation since the genocide began.

It's amazing how much leftist discourse is just them pretending not to understand things, thus making discourse impossible.

Progress became an a priori truth. Don’t believe your lying eyes about crumbling families, disappearing community… The line goes up by definition. The cult of progress means freedom from responsibility.

Because it lost the struggle for dominance of the elite in the 18th and 19th century to the heritcal cult of Progress. It lost this strugle because the cult of Progress freed elites from their local obligations by taking the position that the generational decay wouldn't occur.

This is a part of Putin's history I don't know much about; but it's important to realize that Russia has an indigenous ruling class that recovered coherence and then pushed out it's internationally connected competitors. There are a lot of lessons to learn from that battle.

Funny meme, but Putin didn't stage a "coup" against Yeltsin. It never happened. He was handpicked as successor. Yeltsin knew exactly what he was doing, and Putin remains loyal to much of Yeltsin's inner circle to this day. I know it sounds boring, but it is what it is.

Furthermore, I believe that the true meaning of Tony Blair, his actual mission, is to keep American power tethered to this control network, to fuse it such that American imperialism is never unmoored from the underlying framework. This was the threat Trump initially posed.

While I do not agree with the notion that London still runs the world, I do think that the "human rights regime", the UN framework, the rules-based international order and so on can be seen as "the third British empire", a shadow empire, unmoored from actual UK @NormanDodd_knew

When my wife was seeing various OBGYNs during the twins pregnancy, they kept offering to quietly snip something so that she couldn’t have more children. (Presumably because I was forcing her to keep having babies.) She made them put a note in her file to stop asking her this.

Feel you. We only have three, yet a female relative of mine somehow suspected me of having *forced* my wife into pregnancy. 😅

Watching my extended family make jokes about how our third was probably an accident was strange; listening to my father earnestly implore me not to have a 5th touched my soul in a strange way. These people do not even know what they have become.

This brought up a painful memory of excitedly sharing the news of expecting identical twins (our 7th & 8th) with extended family, their negative reactions and the disappointed/confused looks in our children's faces who had been so eager to share the news. 💔 One of the reasons I…
