The modelling mojo taking a real battering lately, anyway, slowly working through the individual panels on the lightning with more of the AK wax #JFFColdWar
Looks like I've got a fight on my hands with @bookingcom Two weeks ago they took my payment then failed to actually reserve my rooms leaving my family with nowhere to stay. This is their response received Today!! Anyone got a time machine so we can actually use the rooms?

Slow, uncharacteristically patient progress on the build I'm doing both for #JFFColdWar but mainly in memory of my late dad on Father's Day.
Progress on the #JFFColdWar Lightning. Testing metal finishes on a spare tail. Although I like the AK primer and Xtreme metals (bottom panels) they are, unsurprisingly, less resistant to handling and tape than the Alclad equivalents (top). Tape test ongoing.
trying to get the modelling mojo back for #JFFColdWar . I guess bent and broken parts are to be expected with these older kits.
I tried, I really did, but I think I'll have to go with the rubber tracks.
Finished, and putting it on the shelf before I break off any more of the tiny photo-etch parts. An interesting subject for #JFFatSea and yes, I need to work on my figure painting ๐
Really impressed with this Dspiae wet pallette, 48 hours after dropping some acrylic paint into the pots they are still perfectly usable.
After struggling for so long trying to mask and airbrush this complex 4 colour camo I gave up and broke out the hairy stick. Still a lot to do but progress at last. #JFFatSea
First use of the Dspiae wet pallet and the #JFFatSea Biber is getting its crew. The one on the right is on its 8th or 9th set of eyes so he's going to have to remain looking medicated.
Had some issues with the masking tape leaving sticky residue on the torpedoes so decided to start their weathering early. Camo on the boat next.... #JFFatSea
This one really was just for fun and a reminder for me to stay away from cheap 1/72 F-18s #JFFScaleModels
Current state of the bench, it's PE time for the #JFFatSea Biber and decal time for the #JFFScaleModels Blue Angel. Thought it rather cruel of Hasegawa to require the oxygen mask of the 1/72 pilot to be removed but I think it came out ok.
Came across this reference photo so thought I'd try and add some pipework and extra gauges to the basic instrument panel #JFFatSea
