Received silicon from #sky130_mpw1 *just* before Christmas. Thanks to @efabless and @google for sponsoring! Even with the known mpw1 issues, I’m still excited to see how much I can prove works. Now to develop some SMD reflow skills 😂
There’s something immensely satisfying about leveraging c++’s semi-arcane features to implement a language-like user experience for an API. Perhaps it’s my version of doing the crossword.
Back to writing VHDL for a project. VHDL was my first HDL. Unfortunately for me, picking it up again after 20 years isn’t “just like riding a bicycle”…
Great workshop, with another strong lineup this year!

A few months back, I went to post a paper of mine on @arxiv and discovered that I needed someone to vouch for me. A quick search didn’t quickly result in someone I could ask. Any chance someone here is a confirmed submitter and would be willing to provide a referral? DMs open!
I’ll admit, I bought this on a bit of a lark, because I saw a couple other Twitter folks had purchased it, and because I’ve always enjoyed implementing small languages. Only a few pages in, I’m already loving it!

Currently fighting Python extensions. Love how convenient they are for exposing native-compiled libraries, but, *oof*, the contortions involved to do something moderately complex!
