Come and learn AWS and Linux so you can understand how to avoid being brought down in yesterday's outage.
A good use of IPV6 would be putting them on LLM's in a overlay, then we use routing to have them all in synch for a session where every LLM knows what they are responsible and they all are in step to possibly slow down drift???
Qwen powers pingtopass. Built and tested in claude running on qwen.
Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky: “We’re relying a lot on Alibaba’s Qwen model. It’s very good. It’s also fast and cheap... We use OpenAI’s latest models, but we typically don’t use them that much in production because there are faster and cheaper models.” The valley is built on Qwen?
You can tell how far a culture is behind at a company when they do shit like this. Wasting that much of peoples time.
I would’ve been long gone by 7:30
I can't wait to see what they come up with. Use them in pingtopass as my research agent.
🔥Today we’re excited to announce new funding for LangChain (at a $1.25B valuation) to allow us to build the platform for agent engineering. LangChain started as a single Python package 3 years ago. Since then, we’ve evolved into a comprehensive platform for agent engineering…
I tried to explain ADHD to somebody at work. I told him imagine struggling with layups one day, then suddenly you can dunk on people and read screens with no build-up, no logic, just my chaos channeled in 1 direction. Thats what it's like. I just woke up and could dunk
Everyone talks about AI slop. No one talks about PE (private equity) slop. - restaurants that lost their soul - medical practices that feel like assembly lines - apartment buildings designed by an Excel formula The algorithm didn’t kill culture. The margin model did.
With the AWS outage yesterday; I may migrate my auth from workOS to better-auth.
Most people don't have the heart or desire to climb the stairs and we are often lie to people about it, we need to say that this is okay everything is not for everybody.
The top isn’t crowded. The elevator’s just broken. Take the stairs.
LMAO 15 pushups and 32 situps and a third fail. Damn shame.
NEW: ICE expects non-LEO recruits to recruits do 15 push-ups, 32 sit-ups, and run 1.5 miles in 14 minutes. A third are failing the test, posing a major challenge to the agency's efforts to scale up.
My conspiracy is that aws us east 1 has some tech debt from being one of their earlier deployments they cant remove easy or recover from when failure happens
Y'all really think y'all gonna multi-cloud this time??? The ROI isn’t there. Shared downtime is cheaper than shared complexity.
reminder days like today are exactly why you SHOULD deploy on us-east-1 everything is down for your customers they don't blame you when us-east-2 goes down they blame you
Depends. I think it's less of the title and more of what the expectations of the role is. A senior network engineer at an enterprise is way different than one in Consulting , or a Service Provider, or a hyperscaler
genuine question: are senior roles typically just not hands-on? context: primarily network engineering, but i’ll accept cybersecurity, systems, software answers
I took GLM 4.6 on for a spin with roocode over the weekend. While not Claude Code with Sonnet 4.5 its quite powerful and can actually do things very well. The plans are pretty affordable and you can use it inside of Claude Code if you want.
When will the lesson be learned
The fact that people still put their entire cloud in AWS US-1 is still mind boggling to me. I tend to work with larger works who are spread across AWS, GCP and Azure. Most small orgs said that type of setup is too expensive for them.
Of all the players anthropic seem to have found their niche. Products with developer depth. While they are far from escape velocity i do believe they are in orbit and possibly may have stable flight soon.
Humanities education holds so much value but i also think we need to emphasize to kids why its important. That way they decipher bullshit from slick mouth MF
Humanities majors in free fall in the US: Since 2008, English has declined from 3.8% to 1.7% of Bachelor's degrees awarded, history from 2.5% to 1.2%, foreign lang/lit from 1.9% to 0.9%, and philosophy from 0.6% to 0.4%. 22% of philosophy BAs are awarded by just 20 universities.
We are deff gonna need AI security best practices as more people give agents access to so many tools is a recipe for disaster.
