Come on parkrun volunteers pull your fingers out. FFS!!! It’s not as if they may have something else to do today!

My morning routine when I was at my fastest: -Wake up. -Down some water. -Bathroom. -Out the door for a run. It took 10 minutes. Routines are great. But don’t major in the minors. The main thing is showing up for the things and people you care about most.

A decent consistent run into a the Christmas break. Time to start pencilling in the 2026 spring training and build on the foundations. Will need to lose half a stone too!

Spotted a nose strip for the first time at parkrun 🤦‍♂️

Was sweating on this with only a 2mins 10 secs buffer. “We go again” or whatever the inspos say.

Getting back a bit of consistency without a lot of focus. Mostly jogging with a parkrun on the Saturday. Keeping the mileage a bit lower is forcing me to fit in 3 strength sessions a week which I’ve had a habit of dropping. Waiting on GFA results 🤞

Here’s a long one that’s been building for some time…… Athletes love a trend. Right now 10 minutes in a bin of ice because some influencer said “it boosts recovery and performance” seems to be all the rage. This is helped by the multitude of offers and discounts on home…

A workout at 1pm is just as valuable as one at 5am. We often glorify early workouts as showing some kind of discipline or toughness. But the reality is... working out is enough to build that mental muscle. Get it in whenever works for you. That's the most important part.

Have felt a bit ropey for the last few days so am binning Dorney tomorrow. 8 laps of a lake is bad enough when you feel good but I won’t be close to bettering my London time so very little point. Will save my energy for Oasis on Sunday 🍻

The hustle/grind culture is like the new kid running the 400. They sprint off the line. Think they are winning. They keep pushing and pressing. Never settling. And…They hit bricks & fall apart. The person who learns to settle into a fast but sustainable rhythm wins.
