There is a custom query interface where you can just type plain SQL for joining tables together.
That's pretty dope! Looks like a great way to get a sneak peek at the data. I'm curious to see what the user flow looks like for multiple table joins.
Let us know how you get on! jupyterlab-sql uses sqlalchemy, so you should be able to use it with MS SQL server. If not, shout out here: github.com/pbugnion/jupyt…
Oh wow, this looks pretty neat. Quickly tested it with BDNYC's sqlite database. Have to see how it behaves with Microsoft SQL Server :P

This is fantastic! I will be using jupyterlab-sql when I teach my @swcarpentry Introduction to SQL for (Data) Scientists workshop @KAUST_Vislab @KAUST_HPC later this year.
