I’m agnostic on Nimmo - if the right deal came around I could see trading him - but he’s come off a strong season and how would you fill his spot? Who would you get?
If Nimmo was a FA, I think he’d get three years at his current AAV. Problem is that he’s owed five years. Figure you’d have to eat it down to 5/75, that’s paying out $5.5 million per year. I’d rather have Nimmo than Bellinger+$5.5 million on the books for the next 5 years.
