As it happens, I've been thinking about doing an "educational autobiography" exercise in the next iteration of #DigPINS which is designed to open up some of these conversations.

That's a great one! I've heard of folks allowing students to curate the Spotify playlist for a lab/working group but I love the way this connects subject matter and the emotional state of the person and class. #DigPINS
For #DigPINS slow chat Day 4 - what is something you have tried (or seen others try) during the pandemic which can continue to enhance equity and inclusion in the future?
It also got me thinking of the annual lists in education of "influencers" and "thought leaders" and "movers and shakers," and the skepticism those lists are often greeted with. And now I'm wondering what structures are under that skepticism. #DigPINS
Thank you! That is a really interesting piece; we talk a lot in #DigPINS about the way we present our identities and less about the ways identities (like "influencer" or "creator") can be thrust upon us.
#DigPINS I found this article very interesting, so thought of sharing

Today's #DigPINS prompt is to share a quote which informs your teaching.
Thanks for sharing this! Teaching through a pandemic has gotten me to critically examine what I use as evaluation and assessment techniques and Ungrading is something I've seen and I think even used, but still don't feel like I have a strong grasp on how to explain it. #digPINS
Might be an interesting reading for Week 4 of #DigPINS. How many syllabi are similarly designed with an assumption that things are going well?
“It’s easy to engage in self-referential #design & make decisions based on how we & our teams typically interact with products in a positive mental state. But when we do so, we’re further alienating those unfamiliar with or anxious" — Cara Brashears uxdesign.cc/inclusive-ux-i… #UX

If you are unfamiliar with Ungrading or want to learn more about it there are quite a few things from @Jessifer out there worth reading. I'd recommend starting with this post on his site, which serves as an introduction and jumping off point: jessestommel.com/ungrading-an-i… #DigPINS
