I get asked the same about terminals all the time. “How will you turn this into a business? What’s the monetization strategy?” The monetization strategy is that my bank account has 3 commas mate.

If money couldn't buy me the freedom to work on Omarchy for the sheer love of computers, what good would it be?

claude code is nice! Opus finally feels like actual AI. 🤯 but what is this 20% usage??

A concrete example of an LLM saving me a good chunk of time. I dumped working/broken clang invocations that are ~10k+ characters each and simply asked it for the differences. And it found the problem (point 3). Probably saved me an hour of annoying work. chatgpt.com/share/6838c109…

We've been hacking on a "vanilla" version of Headless UI that uses custom elements and no framework. Just a <script> tag pointed at a CDN, and you can build custom dropdowns, dialogs, popovers, tabs, and more, without writing any JS at all ✨ Love letter to our Rails users ❤️

We have about 2 places in our small, free Ruby Builders accountability group if you are building a Ruby product and want to sync with fellow hackers on code and marketing aspects of your product. Mandatory Tuesday calls at 5:30pm Madrid time until September. DM me for next steps.

Figure out what you want. Ignore the opinions of others. Do so much work it would be unreasonable that you fail. Realize it never mattered to begin with. Help others once you get there.

The real work begins when the excitement to work ends.

Finally did it. I wrote down how to build a code-editing agent. In 315 lines of code. And yes, it works. Very well. There is no moat.

wow, Canva just launched its own AI code generator (competitor to v0, Lovable, Bolt, etc.) Things just got interesting 👀

Since I've gotten quite a few question on how I use AI: Jump to 8:25 to see how I write a prompt.

Here it is, a first look at Amp. From a session in which @Beyang and @thorstenball use Amp to work on Amp itself. Raw and uncut, including all Ahhs, Ohhs, and Oofs.

You can't ignore the competition, because your (potential) customers don't ignore the competition. They're actively comparing you, because they're making a choice. So you can't ignore them, despite those trite bromides that say you should.

The co-founder of Loom sold his biz for ~$1B, made $50-70M personally, then walked away from an extra $60M He has “no income right now” and is “looking for internships”... @vhmth has a wild post-exit story. we talked about it on Moneywise: -Turned down $60M in retention…

I just vibe coded a whole iOS app in Swift (without having programmed in Swift before, though I learned some in the process) and now ~1 hour later it's actually running on my physical phone. It was so ez... I had my hand held through the entire process. Very cool.

Anthropic CEO, Dario Amodei in the next 3 to 6 months, AI is writing 90% of the code, and in 12 months, nearly all code may be generated by AI

Any examples of this level of speedup in existing large codebases? Greenfield projects + mvps/prototypes are quick to knock out. For large companies, how effective are these? I genuinely want to level up my AI prompting skills. the llm output so far doesn't match this level.

Speed has always been a startup's #1 superpower, but the pace at which "AI native" teams are moving right now is truly insane. Their secret? It's not really a secret. They just use all the best AI tools to get leverage in every part of their workflow: Cursor, Figma, Vercel,…
