Hearing from a lot of good founders that AI tools are writing most of their code now. Software engineers orchestrate the AI. They are also finding it extremely hard to hire because most experienced engineers have their heads in the sand and refuse to learn the latest tools.

The interesting thought here is that we’ve slowly been inching towards a society full of @hannu ‘s all-defectors. We’ve slowly, iteratively been conditioning ourselves to always defect by rewarding the defectors.
Young founders are doing this and it’s extremely damaging If you say you’re going to do something, do it. If you accepted a deal, you take it. Burning trust makes people only trust who they already know. Ironically, this just makes it harder for young founders.
See? This is why creator payouts ought to be stopped.
Economics as a field is better because economists are smarter than people in the other fields, not necessarily because of the nature of economics (although better methods is a mediating variable for intelligence).
