I was learning some physics last summer and I noticed that there is a set of functions (real-valued) that have this property. Can you guess what they are?

The culture of the classroom during this activity was literally amazing. Loved hearing laughter and community. "Create a histogram of all book covers areas for books in this room." #mtbos @Greeley_Math #dataviz
How does the way we choose to describe data inform the design of everyday objects? Using #99pi as a resource for a lesson on summary statistics. "[B]y designing something for an average pilot, it was literally designed to fit nobody." #NISW #WeAreChappaqua 99percentinvisible.org/episode/on-ave…

My annual favorite project in LIFE School Algebra 2/Trig. Ss model the tides of a real location using tables of data from NOAA to demonstrate knowledge of sine waves and periodic phenomena. Can you see how these Ss cleverly modeled sunrise/sunset? @mtbos @Greeley_Math @Demos_Org
My HS topology teacher used the 2010 version of this paper when I took the course in 2012. (He was so current!) I wonder what great papers out there I could bring to my a Precalculus classroom.
I remember being bewildered by "compactness" as a first-year college student and wish I'd had access to this article back then. Students and teachers of advanced calculus, real analysis, and point set topology may find it helpful or even illuminating. arxiv.org/abs/1006.4131
Sometimes sharing knowledge around a school building looks like a picture of a phone with a picture of a phone with a great problem ☺️#mtbos #logic @jessicawrenn
"My dad used to tell me that he struggled with math as well, but that one day it just clicked for him. I anxiously have been waiting for that day since the age of eight. It still hasn’t come yet, and I am starting to believe that it won’t ever come." - Student, day 1 reflection
Excited to teach one of my absolute favorite lessons in Intro Computer Science today. Students practice Algorithmic Thinking by following a big flow chart on the board. Also, the flow chart differentiates the lesson. #ComputerScience #Java #mtbos
We rush students to AP Calculus even though most of them wind up taking it again in college or taking a remedial course. This needs to end. In this episode of @debatemathpod, I argue that colleges and universities should not give AP Calculus preference in the admissions process.

"Tom Sawyer thinks that if he gets enough helpers, the job will take 'no time at all.' Can the job really take no time at all?"... This is why I love using @Desmos. High quality resources are so easy to make.
Having not been taught it, I find it difficult to identify HS math content by women mathematicians. So I need to share the Sophie Germain Identity which is a really cool factoring technique!! Does anyone have other examples I that show up in HS math?? #mtbos #iteachmath
How many teachers does it take to do a subtraction problem? One, because it only takes one teacher to make a difference.
Well would you look at that!!! @Desmos has added polygraphs as a component in activity builder!
Fun puzzle! (This animation shows the first 5 iterations, the one lower in the thread shows the rest and spoils the answer.) A hallway has lockers numbered 1,...,N, all initially closed. Student 1 opens all of them. Student 2 closes lockers 2, 4, 6, 8, etc. ...
I started a blog. This is not the first post, but it is the first time I feel brave enough to start promoting it. It's mostly just for me to keep track of my own thoughts, but I'm happy to share with computer science educators on the bird app! #java countingandmeasuringplus.wordpress.com/2022/04/24/obj…
