I migrated 16 WinForms dialogs to Avalonia today using GitHub Copilot in VSCode. The longest part was launching RDM to create corresponding connection entries and validate that it would still show and save all the fields properly, and take screenshots to include in the pull…

Is there a way to tell when the next "summarizing conversation history..." is going to interrupt my flow in VSCode with GitHub Copilot? I don't mind waiting, but I'd like a visual indicator of some kind with a percentage, where reaching 100% would trigger the context compression

So uh... it worked. I've never done vs code dev before. Took about an hour, but now I have a PBI model object explorer for tmdl right in vs code.

Claude Code on Windows is using a bash shell from Git Bash for Windows instead of using PowerShell and Windows-native tools. It could just ship a copy of ripgrep and other portable tools. anthropic.mintlify.app/en/docs/claude…

I'm trying Claude Code as a GitHub Copilot in VSCode user, and the first thing I noticed is how it appears much slower at searching a large code base. Apparently Claude Code relies only on grep for code search and has no code indexing for semantic search? github.com/anthropics/cla…

Question - would you like to be able to share chats in Copilot the same way you can in ChatGPT with just a link? If you like that idea - give this issue a thumbs up👍

Exporting as JSON would be a start, but it would be sooo much easier if it could be a shareable web link instead. I guess it could even be a special GitHub gist with custom rendering and sharing permissions. I'd use this all the time as a teaching tool: github.com/microsoft/vsco…

Would love to see chat sharing for @github Copilot, too. Only three upvotes for github.com/microsoft/vsco…?

The people most afraid to share their AI conversation history are those least qualified to be using AI. It quickly exposes people who have no idea what the fuck is going on and are just singling slop from the people who are thoughtfully driving a robot assistant. I hope sharing…

What are the best patterns for maintaining an identical claude.md and agents.md in the same GitHub repository? Is there a symlinking trick that works? Can you have one of them just say "go read the other one"? Or is it worth automating copying them?
