If you are in the UK or Portugal and looking for an internship, talk to me ☺️
Unpopular opinion: companies no longer doing internships, spooked by GenAI tools (“they’re like a junior dev! Why should we hire any?”) will do worse than those that bring on interns/new grads like before. Interns are far more than GenAI: and the best use AI coding tools anyway
Clearly a spice girls fan

i'm sorry you guys know how much of a lover of slutting it up i am, but wearing a blazer with lingerie under it to the PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION is insane
I firmly believe you don't need a CS degree to succeed in this industry. Having one does provide credibility when called a "DEI hire" by insecure men, though!
Even if all of the female software engineers on here went to the kitchen, you still wouldn’t get a job. Scaring women into leaving the industry because it’s too hard for you is pretty transparent, but it still wouldn’t be enough to help you.
As someone who is approaching that number, the discourse has been wild. Particularly, the common assertion that anyone over 40 must have made enough money to retire by now *cries in UK*
It's obviously hyperbole that there are no software engineers over 40, but the more I think about it the more it seems there are a lot fewer of them than seems likely?? Unless everyone leaves this profession at 40 for some reason.
I'm 38 and my dad comes with me to hold my hand when I get jabs because I'm scared of needles. Dads are the best.
I’m 35 and my dad doesn’t come with me to the car place because I don’t even know how to drive
I ordered one pair of trainers, guess they're sending each shoe separately

I've spent the last few days writing documentation instead of coding, wonder what that means 🤔
When you spend more time reading documentation than actually coding, you know you've plunged into the deep end of software development.
Cheese tax, I want to eat a croissant.

I did maths at uni, but I just had to google what a scalene triangle is to help my 9 year old with his homework 🤦♀️
