Wondering who were the three that fed the deer. Did they feed the deer, or did the deer feed on them?

😂

compaction is using ARIAL NARROW instead of arial 😎

1) incredible cost/efficiency progress, 2) crazy that this level of intelligence was almost there 12 months ago, 3) what level of intelligence do labs have right now that's too expensive to release?

A year ago, we verified a preview of an unreleased version of @OpenAI o3 (High) that scored 88% on ARC-AGI-1 at est. $4.5k/task Today, we’ve verified a new GPT-5.2 Pro (X-High) SOTA score of 90.5% at $11.64/task This represents a ~390X efficiency improvement in one year

I think that autonomous, AI-written minor but novel scientific papers will happen before autonomous AI proper LaTeX formatting of those papers.

Happens too often. The struggle is real

Linus wanted to run Unix at home without paying a fortune for a Sun workstation. He built Linux. We want to browse the web without everyone paying for it with their personal data. We're building @ladybirdbrowser.

If you no longer want to code cause people say it’ll be automated someday, you never really loved it in the first place

“If I had more time, I would have written a shorter letter.”

I met a founder today who said he writes 10,000 lines of code a day now thanks to AI. This is probably the limit case. He's a hotshot programmer, he knows AI tools very well, and he's talking about a 12 hour day. But he's not naive. This is not 10,000 lines of bug-filled crap.

We made some updates to Claude’s system prompt in claude.ai recently (developed in collaboration with Claude, of course). They aren’t set in stone and may be updated, but I’ll go through the current version of each and the reason behind it in this thread 🧵

Of course, LLMs will win math olympiads, coding competitions, and entrance exams. Computers were beating humanity at chess DECADES ago. This is not very interesting and doesn't replace human labor. AGI will ONLY be achieved when AI replaces white and blue-collar work

i don't think you understand you catch 3am dopamine and vibe code an iOS app you drop $99 on Apple dev program like it's a gym membership you launch an iOS app with liquid glass ui becuase its the new meta App Store Connect rejects it for "metadata guideline 4.3" - 6 times…

I think it's a big deal they've created an API to their LLM and image generator. Now apps/app developers can harness the power of AI without asking the user to do something awkward like download a 2GB model or enter an API Key for some random service.

UI driven-development is far superior to TDD. Customer-focused is always better than dev-focused. You're a craftsperson making stuff for people, stop being narcissistic/myopic.

Do you think TDD is overrated, or do you use it regularly in your development?

People seriously underestimate how much work it is to build good products, and overstate how easy it is to vibe code a clone of something.

Still trying to wrap my head around Google spending $32B on Wiz when their AI talent could easily vibe code a clone during a lunch. I thought all software was now free?
