Can Nutrition Heal the Rising Lifestyle & Hormonal Disorders? | Dr...
We aren’t addicted to carbs — we’re addicted to hyperpalatable foods that combine refined carbs, fats, salt, and sugar. India’s carb-centric eating is cultural, not biological — and that frame can change. I am sorry to have called anyone a carb addict. This will empower you.
Losing as little as 5 to 10% of body fat can have systemic benefits in your metabolic health markers. Incl reduction in Fasting Insulin, Hba1C and sugar levels.
Four pillars of health in men: Energy and Stamina Muscularity Waist size Libido If these are in check, you are as good as gold.
I have erroneously used this word too. It's remission. I have been in remission since 2015. But PCOS cannot be cured/reversed. Long term remission when lifestyle is in check is possible. Cysts can go away(my own case). Not all PCOS is IR. Also the comments section is delusional
How can you reverse something which is not reversible? PCOS can be well controlled and women can live a normal life. But it cannot be reversed.
Stop listening to dhakan life
drinking is bad smoking is bad and apple is bad. it's fructose in a pretty package. Does affect the liver the same ways alcohol does. now you tell me what's good about apple.
Here's what a nutrition chimp looks like who sells courses, drinks beer, smokes a ton and tells you apples are dangerous

I want to further elucidate! LDL is not the holy grail. Check ApoB and Lp (a). Plus trigs , HDL, and Fasting Insulin @AnshulGains can adopt a low fat strategy to maximize muscle gain and fat loss. That's not you. Eat paneer high or low fat depends on your caloric needs.
@AnshulGains stop fear mongering about SF in paneer. Most Indians eat junk food containing unhealthy fats that results in high LDL. No average Indian eats 200g of paneer daily. It's expensive and a delicacy. Even for vegetarians. HP paneer is good but yr narrative needs nuance
Thank you for acknowledging this! If you are the only primary care giver the stress is so real, you can't imagine! Plus Indian societies have no support groups.
Many of our elderly patients come with their caregivers (usually a close relative). I try to appreciate the caregiver and acknowledge the sacrifices that they are making. Some of my elderly patients come alone too. I tell the fortunate ones with caregivers about their stories…

Met my dermat on an online call. She said, i don't know how to put this, but you seem more rested, The skin is clear, for the first time in 20 months. My mother passed away 4 months ago and I was her primary care giver. It takes a toll. Stress shows via skin health
Fat gain comes before insulin resistance. And this is dependent on the personal fat threshold that includes visceral fat. You may have normal BMI and weight but have exceeded your PFT. Lose fat!

Parents have to be a role model for their kids. Monkey see , monkey do.
As per the latest ICMR study, 94% of Indians don't meet the requirements of fruits/vegetables in a day. Yall vegetarians, what are you eating? 🤣 Meat eaters in India eat meat twice a week. What are you guys eating? 😂 Stop eating refined carb slop! Eat better guys.
If you speak Tamil and are interested in nutrition ideologies, pls watch Paari Salans debate with Aravind. It will clear you of what's wrong with the vegan ideology. And pls watch it on Paari's YT channel Vallal Media.
The 30-30-30 rule as explained by an orthopedic doctor is a good one. For every 30 mins of sitting, move for 30 secs and gaze at something 30 ft away. I modified this with a 3 minute movement for my clients. Improves posture, prevents eye strain and gets you moving.
If your body is so fragile that one khakhra, one biscuit, one cola, some makhanas, a piece of cake here and there , far and few is ruining you, you have other serious problems my friend. You are not metabolically flexible.
