First #raytracing rendering ever made in @babylonjs thanks to the amazing work of Erich Lof (github.com/erichlof). This is really cool to see how the Web is moving fast! Link to the demo: erichlof.github.io/Babylon.js-Pat… @WebGL #webdevelopment #FreeCodeFridayContest

Implementing Level Of Details for my terrain generator. Would be now implementing endless terrain that gets loaded depending on player's fov with auto switching lod. Really want to explore SharedArrayBuffers to offload some work to a web worker. @babylonjs #webgl #procedural

Trying to break @babylonjs with 4million vertices and a large raw texture😅. Still 60fps. I'd admit though rotating the mesh was lagging a little, zooming in - no problem! PS - On 6th gen i7 + gtx970. #webgl #procedural

The new level selection screen is now complete, including ships and aircraft roaming around the world! It looks pretty good, don't you think? 🌍✈️🛳️ #IndieDev #GameDev #MadeWithUnity #LowPoly #IndieGame

A CustomMaterial that assigns a color from gradient texture depending on the height of terrain. Working with CustomMaterial was a breeze, was quickly able to modify shader code. I like how this is turning out. @babylonjs #webgl #ProceduralArt

It's so cool to see what other people can make with SandPond and the SpaceTode language! Here's a clip from Averi Vann who's made a glass element. It lets through lasers and is resistant to acid. You can make it by heating up sand! 🪟 #CellularAutomata #threejs #javascript

Whenever @SebastianLague uploads I feel this curious mix of being incredibly inspired to write creative code and utter despair at how much better he is at it. Beautiful, beautiful video. youtube.com/watch?v=X-iSQQ…

Thanks Simon, that means a lot! Believe me though, the videos would all be a 1000x longer if I were to include all the mistakes, errors, and frustrations along the way. So don't despair, the videos just make me look way better than I really am :P

Spooky mountains on top of flat terrain. Layered noise! Procedural planet generator following @SebastianLague's unity tutorial. The tutorials are so well done and explained that I'm having zero problems porting it to @babylonjs. #webgl #procedural #babylonjs

Got simplex noise working for the procedural planet generator. On to layered noise next. #webgl @babylonjs

In 2013, I decided to create a new #webgl engine (was my 4th one since 1997... Others were developed with Pascal, C++ then C#) named #babylonjs #Web30 #ForTheWeb
