Happy Friday, Reproducibility folks! It's the last day of #ReproducibilityWeekR4E and we'll be discussing image and #DataAnalysis and sharing future plans of @repro4everyone. Feel free to hit us up with your questions!
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to these slides presented at #PlantBio18! @SonaliRoy_ @lteytelman Sarah Robinson @schwessinger @april_cs @DerSchmelling @T_Weissgerber @TyFordFever @JKamens Steven Burgess #ReproducibilityWeekR4E
For example, bar graphs often show us an incomplete picture of the paper and there are many better options out there #BarBarGraphs #ReproducibilityWeekR4E
There are many challenges involved in image and #DataAnalysis. In our @repro4everyone slides, we consider some common issues and offer solutions #ReproducibilityWeekR4E
What does #DataVisualization have to do with reproducibility? Well, data presentation is the foundation of our collective scientific knowledge. Misleading #DataViz can lead to wrong conclusions of your work. #ReproducibilityWeekR4E
Reminder: you can currently find @repro4everyone slides and materials here: community.plantae.org/article/502490… They are currently being added to and translated into different languages by our #eLifeAmbassador group #ReproducibilityWeekR4E
We're looking forward to following Reproducibility Week #reproducibilityweekR4E at @repro4everyone!
good afternoon! Welcome to #reproducibilityweekR4E, where we will introduce the Reproducibility for everyone group (R4E) and share different topics in #reproducibilityinScience each day of this week.
Thanks everyone for following the conversation during #ReproducibilityWeekR4E! Stay tuned for future updates and have a great weekend!
Why don’t you share your favorite #Reproducibility papers and resources (can be yours) with us? We’ll retweet them using #ReproducibilityWeekR4E
As we wrap up today’s discussion, we also want to thank #elifeambassadors @nafisajadavji @mariella_n_paul for contributing tweets for #ReproducibilityWeekR4E and to everyone who has participated in tweets and polls this week!
For help with specifying a data license check out this guide dcc.ac.uk/resources/how-… #reproducibilityweekR4E
For today's poll: There are lots of options for programming languages for data analysis out there. Which do you use most? If you use one that doesn't exist in the poll, please reply with your response! #ReproducibilityWeekR4E
Our #eLifeAmbassador group is also already getting started on these tasks: Translating slides, Helping with twitter (thanks @nafisajadavji @mariella_n_paul!) &Transferring poster templates over #ReproducibilityWeekR4E
Future plans for @repro4everyone include growing our group and collaborations, Improving the quality of our materials, generating more extensive training materials, and continuing to teach workshops in our local institutions and at conferences. #ReproducibilityWeekR4E
Check out @eLifeCommunity Early-Career Advisory Group member @T_Weissgerber's paper for more info on this topic! jbc.org/content/292/50… #ReproducibilityWeekR4E
Thanks for following the discussion today! Tomorrow we will end #reproducibilityweekR4E with the topics of Image & Data analysis, as well as share future directions of the @Repro4everyone group. Tweeting will come from #elifeambassador @mariella_n_paul!
During #ReproducibilityWeekR4E, we talked about many different ways to make your science more reproducible and there are of course many more ways. What is one thing that you can do today to start making your research more reproducible? #OpenScience #ReproducibilityInScience
#reproducibilityweekR4E is near! Join this great effort! Make science reproducible, accessible, faster! It will make your lab life much easier! @repro4everyone @eLifeCommunity #eLifeAmbassadors #ReproducibilityInScience
Join us for #ReproducibilityWeekR4E! Each day of this week (June 10-14) we will cover different topics and resources that the Reproducibility for Everyone group (R4E) has created. #ReproducibilityInScience #openscience

You can also search through @re3data to find and compare discipline-specific data repositories re3data.org/search #opendata #reproducibilityweekR4E
Some general tips on #datasharing: use a data repository like @figshare @datadryad @zenodo_org and specify a data or code licenses. #opendata #reproducibilityweekR4E
and remember that tip about storing your data x3? Depositing your data & code to public repositories keeps your data securely saved in the cloud and also provides you with a permanent and citable link (DOI) which prevents #linkrot #reproducibilityweekR4E
Why share? Depositing with public repositories ensures access to future researchers. Some funders and publishers require deposition and this practice also can improve citation rate + the impact your work has on the field. #openscience #reproducibilityweekR4E
