iPSC technology is real at a low frequency, scientists can take cells from a person & induce them to form pluripotent stem cells that then be converted into beating cardiomyocytes, functioning hepatocytes & more during this process, you also get teratomas

RNA is informant and agent. Controlled RNA export from cells could enable cell-cell delivery of functional and non-destructive tracking of cell dynamics. Our new paper, led by brilliant @FelixHorns, engineers RNA export for both capabilities: authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S00…

Sometimes people ask me if I can do one-on-one R tutoring. Sure I can. But then my hourly rate applies. And there are many amazing *free* resources. Want to try them first? Here are a few that I recommend. #rstats

Thrilled to see this paper now published nature.com/articles/s4146… where we present scMTNI, a method to infer cell type-specific GRNs on cell lineages! Great work by former labmember @shiluzg and collaboration with @SridharanLab!

So happy to share our new study out in @NatureCellBio “VCAM1 confers innate immune tolerance on haematopoietic and leukaemic stem cells”. Thanks to all the authors. Missing Paul Frenette to have a perfect celebration. @UICPharmacology @UICancerCenter @EinsteinMed

VCAM1 and MHC-I cooperate to provide a ‘don’t-eat-me’ signal that prevents haematopoietic stem cell clearance by mononuclear phagocytes. VCAM1 can be hijacked by cancer cells to escape innate immune surveillance. PDF: rdcu.be/cHQoJ nature.com/articles/s4155…
