I am delighted to share the approval of Actemra for SSc related ILD. The FDA was pragmatic and approved the medication, based on large clinically meaningful effect on lung function. #scleroderma #hope @UMIntMed @genetec gene.com/media/press-re…
Check out our latest paper in @RheumJnl where we show the intracellular chloride channel 4 (CLIC4) plays a role in SSc fibroblast activation. This is one of the first examples of an ion channel playing an important role in the disease. academic.oup.com/rheumatology/a…
New work from the group just published in @ArthritisRes. We have shown HOTAIR regulates the expression of the sonic hedgehog transcription factor GLI2 in scleroderma fibroblasts. A great collaboration with the @thehedgehoglab. arthritis-research.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…

Raise your hands to help these hands on Friday the 28th February - all proceeds go to Scleroderma and Raynaud's research @leedsmedhealth
Very happy that this work is now out in annals of rheumatic diseases. We have identified that the long non-coding RNA HOTAIR plays a important role in scleroderma fibroblast activation ard.bmj.com/content/early/…
February is Raynaud’s Awareness Month, which is why we're asking people to take our quick and simple online test to give those affected by the condition the chance to better understand, and manage, their symptoms. 👏 Take 👏 The 👏 Test 👏 sruk.co.uk/testme #KnowRaynauds

In our paper out today in @ScienceTM by @BrevenStyden et al, we show that stimulating the body’s immune defence at the mosquito bite is highly effective at suppressing infection with many distinct viruses. Works for alpha-, flavi-, and bunya-viruses. 1/n stm.sciencemag.org/content/12/527…
