Fixed my hacky transparency a bit. Fixed the blending math, and it now skips identical colors during raycasting, so it should be perfect for materials like glass. Making the entire map transparent is just for testing and naturally exhibits artifacts :) #voxels #voxelgamedev
Working on improving load times - replace some span checks w/ bitmaps. - parallelized parts of loading - reduced AO/normal calc radius, w/ quality tweaks - map lighting doesn't block loading (+lighting responds to map edits) Down from 600+ms to ~100-300ms. #voxel #voxelgamedev

Made some minor pipeline changes to better allow memory pooling for huge extraction. There are 262,144 32^3 chunks generated here in a min depth 6 octree in about 20 seconds or so. Not off to a bad start! #voxels #voxelgamedev #IndieGameDev #gamedev
