First result of my #SpeedTree to #UE5 Pivot Painter 2 wind little Maya script: finally, it looks nice. Still have to test it with more trees and probably improve the material (which is obtained mixing pivot painter 2 UE example mat and Quixel foliage mat)

Been wanting a height indicator in #blender similar to the one from #SpeedTree for a while, so I decided to make it as a gizmo! still needs a bit of finetuning, but pretty happy with it so far!


#SpeedTree to #UE5 Pivot Painter 2 Maya script after fixing a couple of bugs. Funny story: I feared so much to make errors in the "difficult" texture (exr one, pivot positions and indexes encoded as floats) that I ended up with 2 bugs in the "easy" one (x directions and extends)


#SpeedTree to #UE5 Pivot Painter 2 wind Maya script: scale meshes test. It works right. I've made several bamboo meshes in SpeedTree, then imported into Maya and generate the PP2 textures with my script. In UE I've repeated the meshes in the scene and scaled some of them.


2nd test of my #SpeedTree to #UE5.2 pivot painter 2 Maya script is a tall (18m) nanite bamboo tree. It looks nice although I'm not totally convinced with the movement of the trunk (I'll check I don't have a bug somewhere). Quixel textures used for the leaves are superior quality.
